Kristina's Pics

Hey everyone, sorry I haven't blogged in a while. I have not had internet at home, so it makes it rather difficult. I thought I'd show you some pictures of what I've been up to. Zoob bought a new car- a Subaru Forester- from an online auto auction in Seattle. I had a free Delta voucher, so we both flew out there for the weekend and drove it back to Utah. We stayed with one of his mission companions in Seattle and with my old Forest Service roommate in Portland. We had a blast, I've only been to the Pacific Northwest one other time- when we got that beach house with Uncle Al & family in Cannon Beach. It was great to see both cities- Seattle was fantastic! Happy pre-birthday to Mom and Christian! Love you guys- B

This is from Dad's latest visit to Utah. Notice the Snowbird/Alta shirt being worn by a man who has not skied in 2 years.

This is from August- it was my first time mountain biking at Sundance after the "accident." The bearded man is my boyfriend.

Zoob & I at the flagship REI store in Seattle, it's HUGE! Bigger than any department store I've ever been in.

Grandma visited us this weekend. She was lucky enough to have great Texas fall weather. The leaves are changing color and it is very beautiful here.

Dad's test run

Hey Dad and I are at Grandma's and we're just testing out the blog post.

I should be dead. Because if I live another 26 years I may never experience a moment as great as the Dodgers' victory over the Padres last Monday night. (I know those of you who are married and have kids will tell me that richer experiences are in store for me; but I simply must disagree.)

Needless to say I had a great trip to L.A. I got to eat at Phillipe's with Dad, Scott, and crew. I went to two Dodgers games (one of which was the greatest ever played), got to spend time with some close friends in Frasier Park, hung out with Danny, and even saw Mom for a moment.

Here are some pictures...

Thanks Tristan for posting those pics, it was good to see them. It was especially nice to see Dad's new $20,000 smile. :) Happy belated birthdays and anniversary to Skyler, Andrew, Kim & Chris. I've moved into a new house. In case you want to send me packages and goodies, the address is: 1254 Nevada Ave. Provo, UT 84606. Take care everyone!

Grandpa's Visit

With summer winding down and the kids back in school, it was nice to have Grandpa visit for a day and a half. (We wish it had been longer). We even ordered cooler weather for his visit. For such a short weekend, we sure crammed a lot in. The kids and grandpa had a blast fishing and playing baseball. Matt and Mike enjoyed a few holes of golf, and I tried my hand at frying Catfish! Here are some pictures from his trip.

Hey guys, it's your beloved little sister/daughter/aunt. Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I'm currently homeless and my computer is being stored at a friend's house. I'll have to post some pics of my trip to Northern California and Tahoe when I get it up and running again. I had a great trip out to Sacramento to see Zoob and help him move back to Utah for school. We visited with Uncle Dave and the kids. We also got to attend the Sacramento Temple open house. We backpacked at a place called Point Reyes, really unique, beautiful coast north of San Francisco. We also went to a Dodgers-Giants game. Unfortunately I had to endure torment from the stupid fans since that was the only game we lost in the Frisco series and I was sporting my True Blue pride. I didn't hesitate to remind them who was leading the NL West amidst their verbal abuse. It was Zoob's first MLB game and he absolutely loved it. I told him that not all games carry that much rivalry, but it does make it quite a bit more fun. We drove home to Utah through Tahoe and were able to spend a day at the lake and a couple nights with the Greenman's. As always, it was great to see them. For anyone who hasn't been up there recently, you should make the trip, they are superb hosts, good cooks, and more laid back than they get credit for! haha. Thanks again Kim. I hope everyone else is doing well, good luck to all the kids going/gone back to school!

Greetings

Well, I live in Vegas. Matt goes on vacation in Arkansas. I didn't see Mom last weekend in California because she was on a cruise to Mexico. Dad has a goat mounted on his wall. Scott's Clippers did well in the playoffs this year. Kristina is dating a professional skater. Kim goes to Southern California more than I do. And Danny actually has and uses a telephone.

Add to all the above the fact that I am expressing these surprising facts about the family on the Nielson "blog" and I would say that things have changed a bit since that billy goat first greeted us on Via Ranchero.

Anyway, hope to hear from you fellow bloggers. Thanks for setting this up B. I am well and might just turn a profit next month.

new pics

The Mom and Kristina at the 'Bird for a little spring skiing. This photo was taken just minutes before Mom hucked a double back flip off a 50 foot cliff.

Monte & Kristina at a Dodger game duing their pitiful losing streak, but luckily they replaced it with an 11-game winning streak!

In case you guys didn't know... Dad has officially gone crazy.

Nielson Family

Nielson Family
Aunt Tina,We love you!! Thanks for setting this up. The pictures are fabulous. (Emilie is sitting next to me helping me write this. She says she thinks you are awesome, better than butterflies.) We had fun seeing you and your pals. Monte and Emilie approve of Zoob, so if marriage is in the picture in the future it's o.k. with us. We think his a good guy. Our family is enjoying the beach, and fun. However, I think scott has gotten a little too much sun!! He buzzed Monte's hair and gave him a mowhauk. Yikes. I was furious, but have tried to forgive. I'll try to post pictures. And, don't worry the hauk will be off before school starts. HAve a fabulous week Nielson's and Greenman's. Love,Shellie

We're on board

Kristina--thanks for setting this up. this sounds like fun. I hope we can all do this. For me it will be a matter of remembering ;)

Hey guys, I started this blog, it's kind of like a website, but you don't have to purchase or establish a domain. I thought it would be a good way for us to share photos and keep in touch. It is pretty user friendly and if you just spend a couple minutes on this site you can figure out how to navigate around and perhaps upload some photos and such. Anyways, I love you all. Enjoy!
